"this was one of the most important albums of my growing up/youthhood. no joke! CP 2 DEATH" Josh/ The Skints
Lazee Bois was ClayPigeon’s debut full-length album, recorded at Harlow Square in 2004. Jak, Steve, John, Marcus and Cetin were around 18 years of age, and didn’t know any better. This album is re-released as a messy, punky, chaotic and ultimately fun slice of the ClayPigeon history-pie, a curiosity featuring as many as four good songs, a shout-out on pirate radio, some teenage moments, inebriated chitter-chatter, an audio documentary from morning television’s Date That programme, appalling spelling and a whole heap of strangeness. An important part of the history of an unimportant band that somehow survives to this very day, Lazee Bois features long-overplayed songs such as Kapeesh, Indian Flex, Lazee Boi and Out of our Control, and comes with free pictures on the front and back. ‘Re-released’ to ‘celebrate’ its eight-year anniversary, this is a cheap piece of plastic that guarantees to fill one complete space on your CD shelf. A super-low price and attractive green-coloured spine ensure that you will not regret this purchase.
